Currently I am working as a Senior Character Technical Director at Pacific Data Images (PDI)/Dreamworks (2002 - present). While at PDI I have worked on Shrek 2, Madagascar, Shrek 3, Bee Movie, Madagascar 2, and How To Train Your Dragon. I work primarily on facial animation systems.
My first exposure to 3D software was with Strata Studio Pro and
Bryce in 1997. In 1998 I switched to LightWave 3D. In 2000 I began using Messiah
for Lightwave. 3D highlights include:
- Author of popular Lscripts for Lightwave 6, including
Super Cloner and Super Spinner.

and modeling for game cinematics (2001).

Messiah demo reel at SIGGRAPH 2001.
- ElfWorks: character animation for video project (2001).
- 3DExchange: LightWave instructor of animation and
modeling (2000 to 2001).
- 415 Productions and Macromedia: primary 3D artist
for award-winning DiscoverToys project (1999).
A self-taught mixed media sculptor, I exhibited my work in various galleries in San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and Sacramento from 1994 to 1998. I was very pleased to do a show at the PDI/Dreamworks Redwood City building in 2003.
I received a double major BA in Environmental Studies and Economics with College
Honors, Thesis Honors, and Major Honors from UCSC in 1990. Transcripts available
upon request. Relevant areas of study include:
- Mathematics: calculus, linear algebra, and discrete
math.
- Programming: limited experience with Pascal, C++,
and LScript (see 3D experience).
